What should I feed my dog?

Nutrition??
This is one of the most common questions I get. The short answer is...it is a personal choice. There are so many different brands and types of foods available to feed your dog, you really need to do your research and decide what is best for you. I would, however, suggest staying clear of low quality foods, as they are very low in nutritional value.
You may look at Raw diets, home made dog food or prepared dog food. There is a lot of information, so please talk to your vet as well.

Better food =better value=better nutrition=less poop=happier healthier pet

I have looked at all different foods, and have been using Acana. You can visit their website at www.championpetfoods.com. I find Acana at most pet stores. It is more expensive, but they need to eat less & it is much better for them. It is Grain-Free, made in Alberta, Canada & contains NO Corn, Wheat, Gluten, animal By-Products, Artificial Flavours, colors or preservatives.

My dogs have thrived on it from the day I switched them to it. Their coats are shinier, they eat less and they poop less. I start my puppies on it when they are able to start on solids, and my adults remain on it all the time. For snacks, I provide natural treats. I offer greenies and other natural chew treats. I offer whole uncooked bones, cooked bones can splinter. I offer fresh veggies and occasionally add raw egg to their food. I do not feed table scraps.
