She's a little love bug in a fur coat.........My Cat!
I have to add this page to honor my cat. If you haven't already guessed, I love my animals. Each and every one of them have different personalities and qualities. My cat is no exception.
I first saw Blue when she was just a little kitten. Friends of ours had found her on their family's farm, in the barn and had finally caught her. She was very wild & scared to death. When I went over for coffee that day, they got out of their car with a small box. When they opened it, there she was. A big puff of white fur and the biggest bluest eyes I have ever seen. I was instantly in love with her, but she wasn't mine. I asked if there were any more kittens, there weren't. I went home, and didn't think too much more about it.
Well, the next few weeks went by and my friend and her family had commented on not liking her because she was messing in the house. They wanted to get rid of her and I scooped her up and brought her home.
She settled into my place so well, I was shocked. My kids hauled her everywhere, made her sleep in their beds and dressed her up....she was so gentle and patient with them. Soon, she was waiting at the window after school, crying and waiting for the kids to get home. To this day, she sleeps with my 10yr old son every night. At bed time, he calls her name and off she goes with him. She is lost when he's not here, but soon steals half my pillow and falls asleep in my bed. Everyone who meets her is instantly in love with her. Many ask if she is a Rag Doll, I just have no idea what she has in her background, but has many of the traits of one. She falls totally limp when she's picked up, and never ever needs to be brushed. Her fur is extremely well kept and silky.
I trained her to be with my puppies and dogs. The momma dogs growl at her when they have babies, but she pays no attention. She plays with the puppies amazing now, I trust her full heartedly.
When ever I am sad, sick or upset, she just knows. She will come to me meowing and crawl up on my lap. She gives kisses and hugs and massages with her paws. She won't leave my side for a min.
She knows her name and where all her treats are. And, has her very own stocking for Christmas.
I have to tell you, my life would be very empty without her, she is the best companion. I love you Blue. (Boo for short)
