Getting ready for your new puppy!
Sounds like you are having a baby? A puppy to be exact, but how do you make your home safe? Just like kids, if it can be eaten, broken or put in their mouth, they will do it all. It is our job to protect them from dangers at home.
Some quick tips for you to make sure that they have a safe environment:

- Pick up stuff on the floor and on lower shelves
- Remove all food from your puppy's reach
- Puppy proof the garbage
- Provide toys that do not look like your stuff
- Teach your puppy the "drop" command
- Close doors and closets
- Lock up cleaners & toxins
- Secure all electrical cords, PVC tubing works great
- Always have control of your puppy before opening the front door
- Consider sprays and repellents to protect your furniture
- Consider a crate, x-pen or tether for when you can't be watching your puppy
